Domestic Violence Battery Case Dismissed (Penal Code § 243(e)(1))

I recently successfully obtained a complete dismissal of both counts for my client.

My client was charged with two misdemeanor counts of violating Penal Code § 243(e)(1) (Battery) and Penal Code § 136.1(b)(1) (Dissuading a Witness from Reporting a Crime).

After investigating the case and writing an equities package to the District Attorney, I was able to negotiate a deal to Deferred Entry of Judgment for one count of Penal Code § 591.5 (Removal of Use of Wireless Communication Device with Intent to Preclude Summons of Assistance).

After twelve months of lawful behavior and marriage therapy, my client received a complete dismissal per Penal Code § 1385! The result in this case protected my client from losing his federal security clearance job and allowed he and his family to quickly move past this offense.
