Vehicle Code Section 14601.1 - Suspended License Misdemeanor Dismissed, Plea to Infraction Vehicle Code section 12500

At the Van Nuys Superior Courthouse we were able to recall a bench warrant on a Vehicle Code section 14601.1, misdemeanor. We were able to keep our client out of custody, so she was not arrested. We negotiated a reduction in charges to an infraction for a violation of Vehicle Code section 12500(a). Therefore, we caused the misdemeanor to be dismissed and negotiated an infraction that has "No Moving Violation Points" instead of a misdemeanor that carried "Two Moving Violation Points". The fine and penalty assessment was also reduced by approximately $700 dollars. Clean and simple. Great result.
